Description:
fake v1.1.0 - Fake: Redundant Server Switch - Fake has been designed to switch in backup servers on a LAN. It has been used to success over the last year to switch in backup Mail, Web and Proxy servers during periods of both unscheduled and scheduled down time. The additional interface can be either a physical interface or an IP alias.

 ///  File Name: fping-2.3b1.tar.gz
Description:
Fping is a ping(1) like program which uses the Internet Control Message Protocol (ICMP) echo request to determine if a host is up. fping is different from ping in that you can specify any number of hosts on the command line, or specify a file containing the lists of hosts to ping. Instead of trying one host until it timeouts or replies, fping will send out a ping packet and move on to the next host in a round-robin fashion. If a host replies, it is noted and removed from the list of hosts to check. If a host does not respond within a certain time limit and/or retry limit it will be considered unreachable. Unlike ping, fping is meant to be used in scripts and its output is easy to parse.

 ///  File Name: freenet-0.1beta.tgz
Description:
Freenet is a peer-to-peer network designed to allow the distribution of information over the Internet in an efficient manner, without fear of censorship. It is completely decentralized (there is no person or computer essential to its operation), meaning that Freenet cannot be attacked like centralized peer-to-peer systems such as Napster. Freenet also employs intelligent routing and caching to learn to route requests more efficiently, automatically mirror popular data, make network flooding almost impossible, and move data to where it is in greatest demand.
